Benham Millennium Countdown
Series
This series was produced to celebrate the
countdown to the Millennium. Each cover has a 22ct. gold blocked border around
the silk & each commemorates a significant event or person in British history.
Covers were produced every 100 days to signify 100 years of history & each is
postmarked on the appropriate day. The first cover remembers the Battle of
Hastings & is postmarked 6th. April 1997 - 1000 days to go.

Benham Millennium Countdown
Worldwide Series
This series depicts World wide events and
characters throughout the last Millennium and follows the theme of the U.K.
series with each cover produced at 100 day intervals. All have 22ct. gold
borders around the silk and all bear pertinent stamps and postmarks. For
example, the first in the series depicts the Vikings with Viking silk, Viking
stamp and special Isle of Man Viking postmark.
